Apr 23, 2013 Intel HM65 Chipset, Intel Pentium Processor, a S-ATA II Hard Drive (5400RPM), DDR3 System Memory at 1,333MHz, and with Intel HD Graphics. For your kind reference of product, NP300E5Z-A0TIN I have come to know after some search on Intel HM65 chipset, it will support 2nd Generation of Intel Core processors (i3, i5, i7) and PCI express slot. Processor: i5-2410M - supports RAM up to 2x 8GB 1333mhz. Motherboard: Intel Mobile HM65 Chipset - supports RAM speed up to 1600mhz. I want to upgrade my RAM from 4GB to 16GB (reason; I want to be able to run VMs with no problems and more). 1333Mhz is fast enough because that’s the max. Supported amount of mhz my processor supports.
Dear Community,
I am planning on upgrading my laptop, a sony vaio f21z1e/bi with a i7-2630QM cpu.
My laptop uses an intel hm65 mainboard with a PGA988 (G2) BGA 1023 socket and the Bios version R0200V3 (02/10/2011).
The new cpu I am looking for is the faster brother of the current version, so I believe, the i7-2860QM. Both cpu share similar traits. They are both sandy bridge, feed on 45watt, utilize the same socket.
I am not sure if this endeavor can lead to a success. Do you have any suggestions as well as experiences to share with me? Do you think I have to update the bios as well?
Many thanks in advance

I just bought myself the Logitech Brio. in order to put the background changing options to use I tried to download ChromaCam’s software. When I tried to install it, I get a message that my CPU does not support the AVX instruction set.
I'm running Intel core 2 Duo T7250 @2.0 GHZ 64-bit os X64 base processor. Besides getting new hardware, what can I do to get around this problem? I am using Windows 10.

The Intel core 2 Duo T7250 chip does not support AVX.
You can either:
- Replace your CPU or
- Use some other software (not Chromacam) that doesn't require ATX to configure your Logitech Brio background options.
